Mike Tyson appears to be focused ahead of his battle against Jake Paul. The 57-year-old shared a training video on social media on Monday, demonstrating his speed and athleticism as he prepares to battle Paul this summer.
Tyson may have lost a stride or two since retiring, but he appears to be in fantastic shape and should be a challenge against Paul, who is 27 years old. Tyson’s most recent bout came in 2020, against Roy Jones Jr., which ended in a draw.
Paul is off to a good start in his boxing career and will face a tough test against Tyson. Since starting boxing in 2020, Paul has a 9-1 record with six knockouts. His only loss was against Tommy Fury in February of last year. Paul has won three consecutive fights since that loss, the most recent in March against Ryan Bourland.
He has won some major fights, but facing Tyson will be a huge test, and Paul knows that.
“My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion of the world, the baddest man on the planet, and the most dangerous boxer of all time,” Paul said in an X post in March. “Time to put Iron Mike to sleep.”
Tyson and Paul will face off on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The bout will stream live on Netflix.
