Laxman is prepared to fill in for Dravid as head coach while the latter is away
Additionally, according to a PTI report, Hrishikesh Kanitkar and Sairaj Bahutule will travel with the team to New Zealand in the capacities of batting and bowling coaches, respectively. Prior to Dravid’s absence, Laxman, who took over as NCA president in December 2021, served as interim head coach for India’s second-string team during tours of Ireland that included two T20 Internationals, three ODIs in Zimbabwe in the middle of August, and a three-ODIs against South Africa last month.
