Babar Azam becomes the first captain to score 3 consecutive 50s in the tournament. His tournament scores include 68*, 9, 51, 70, 66, and 39.
Hasaranga finishes with most wickets
Sri Lanka’s spinner Wanindu Hasaranga finishes with most wickets this season. The leg spinner made an impact on the UAE pitches by taking 16 wickets in 8 matches at an economy of 9.75. Not only this, Hasaranga in the game against South Africa, became the first Sri Lankan player to score a hat-trick in the T20 World Cup. He is the third player in history to accomplish this, following Brett Lee (2007) and Curtis Campher (2021).
