Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been declared fit and available for selection for India vs New Zealand clash. The 28-year-old was hit on his right shoulder while batting during the T20 World Cup clash against Pakistan on Sunday. However, it is understood that the injury was a minor one, and with six days of gap between then and the next game, the player should be fit.
“Yes, Hardik’s scan reports have come and the injury is not very serious. Also, the fact that there is a six-day gap between the two games gives him enough time to recuperate. But obviously, the medical team would wait and watch. As to how he shapes up during the training sessions,” a senior BCCI official told PTI.
During the conversation with Naseer Hussain before the Pakistan clash, Hardik said that he will start bowling when the tournament gets towards the knock-out stages. Currently, Pandya is playing as a pure batter in the side. India has Shardul Thakur as a possible replacement option for Hardik in case the all-rounder doesn’t play on Sunday.
“I don’t like to get too hyped by the situation, and my family makes sure of that too. I stay away from social media because you do get excited and get the vibes. It’s simple, and we leave emotions out of the way, and keep things professional. (agentrealestateschools.com) We make sure we tick the right boxes and do the processes right.” said Hardik Pandya
Virat Kohli-led India will lock horns with Kane Williamson-led New Zealand on Sunday, October 31.
