Sri Lanka defeated Team India by 4 wickets in the 2nd T20I to level the three-match series 1-1 at R Premadasa stadium on Wednesday. Spinners dominated the game in both innings and picked 7/11 wickets that fell in the game.
Dhananjaya de Silva was the star for Srilanka. He scored 40 not out off 34 balls while Minod Bhanuka smashed 36 off 31 and helped the hosts chase the 133-run target with 2 balls to spare. Kuldeep Yadav, who was playing his first T20I after one and a half years was the best bowler for India. He returned with the figures of 2 for 30 and looked more confident. Varun Chakravarthy bowled beautifully and was the most economical bowler in the game. He picked one wicket giving away just 18 from his four overs.
Batting first, India got off to a steady start. Shikhar Dhawan debutant Ruturaj Gaikwad added 49 runs for the first wicket partnership. Another debutant Devdutt Padikkal showed glimpses of his talent, scored 29 off 23 balls. Indian captain Shikhar Dhawan top-scored with a 42-ball 40 as a result India posted 132 on the board on a tricky wicket. Akila Dananjaya was the top wicket taker for Srilanka.

1. Devdutt Padikkal became the first player born after 2000 to play for India in men’s international cricket.
2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar played his 50th T20I today. He is the 9th Indian player to reach the landmark.
3. In the last 14 T20I matches against India, Sri Lanka has won only two games.
4. Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the fourth Indian bowler to pick 50 wickets in T20I. Yuzvendra Chahal (63), Jasprit Bumrah (59), and Ravi Ashwin (52) are the other three bowlers.
