The late Australian cricket legend Shane Warne left his children a sizable inheritance. The three children received approximately $21 million from Warne’s inheritance, according to the will that was made public on Wednesday.
Warne gave his three children Jackson, Brooke, and Summer 31% of his income apiece
According to Australian media, Warne gave his three children Jackson, Brooke, and Summer 31% of his income apiece.
Jackson got a bit extra in the will because his father left him a Yamaha motorcycle in addition to a BMW and a Mercedes, which are all valued at about $375,000.
His brother Jason earned two percent part of the remaining seven percent, while his niece Tyla and nephew Sebastian each received two and a half percent.
Warne did not leave any money for his ex-wife, Simone Callahan, and his ex-fiancée, Hollywood actress Elizabeth Hurley.
A house in Portsea, Victoria, is valued $6.5 million out of Warne’s total wealth of $20.7 million. Warne had $5 million in his Australian bank account, $3 million in shares, and $2 million in other assets. He owed $295k in obligations.
Shane Warne’s sudden death
In March of last year, the leg-spinner passed away after a heart attack while on vacation in Thailand. Warne was reportedly discovered face down on his bed while Australia and Pakistan were playing a test match on television.
“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course,” his management company informed at the time.
