Messi

Lionel Messi is back to doing what he does best: scoring goals and collecting honors. Widely regarded as one of the most decorated players in history, Messi scored his 700th club goal on Sunday and is on the verge of earning FIFA’s ‘Best Male Player of the Year 2022’ title on Monday in Paris. (Xanax) Messi, who won his first FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year, is dominating the race for his second award, ahead of French attacker Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.

Messi won the Golden Ball for the second time in his career after scoring seven goals and providing three assists in seven World Cup games. Meanwhile, Mbappe, who won his first World Cup with France in 2018, scored a hat trick in the finals this time, but his team fell short of winning the trophy for the second time in a row.

Karim Benzema, who won the Ballon d’Or for the first time last season after Real Madrid won the Champions League, is nominated for this award alongside Mbappe for the first time.

Messi and Mbappe excel in Ligue 1. Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe scored and assisted in PSG’s 3-0 away triumph over Olympique de Marseille on Sunday night.

As Mbappe scored a brace to tie Edison Cavani’s record of 200 goals for PSG, Messi, who assisted on both goals, also accomplished his record 700th club goal (672 for Barcelona and 28 for PSG). This victory also increased PSG’s Ligue 1 lead to eight points, with Marseille in second place with 52 points.

Meanwhile, PSG will host Nantes before traveling to Munich for the return leg of the Champions League versus Bayern. PSG is now down 0-1 and will try to put up a fantastic display to advance to the next round.
