Premier League 2021-22 fixtures: All you need to know

The fixtures for the Premier League 2021-22 season have been announced. The season will get underway from August 14. Defending champions Manchester City will face Tottenham in the opening encounter. Meanwhile, Manchester United starts their season against Leeds United at Old Trafford, while Liverpool takes on Championship winners Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Premier League 2021-22: Schedule

FA Cup winners Leicester City will face Wolves, Burnley will face Brighton, Newcastle United have a date with West Ham, Watford have a home game against Aston Villa, and Chelsea will begin their season against Crystal Palace.

Premier League 2021-22: Format

The Premier League 2021-22 campaign will follow the traditional format of running through to May 22 next year.

Chelsea, who finished fourth in the previous two editions, have a difficult schedule at the start. They will face a Test against Arsenal on matchday 2. And the following weekend, they’ve to face a difficult test at Anfield against Liverpool. In September, Chelsea will be up against Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Manchester City.

An exciting clash between Manchester United and Liverpool at Old Trafford on October 23 will be massive. United will face Spurs and City in succession, resulting in a crucial phase. Following, They’ll face Chelsea and Arsenal in successive games at the end of November.

2019-20 champions Liverpool will face Chelsea at the end of August. They will face City on October 2 in what could be a crucial clash in the title race and will face the potential trophy contenders United on the 23rd of the month at Old Trafford. They have a tricky schedule in December with clashes against Spurs, Leicester, and Chelsea. Boxing Day and New Year have some exciting clashes as Liverpool will play Leeds, Tottenham will face London rivals Crystal Palace, Chelsea will take on the Reds, and Arsenal will play against defending champions City at Emirates Stadium.
