BCCI Celebration
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has organized various events to honor the occasion of the 1000th IPL game, which also happens to be the MI vs. RR encounter. As it is, a stadium is festive and lively during an IPL match, with the exception of course of the Twenty20 cricket match. And now there will be more jubilation and enjoyment for the 1000th IPL game.
The following are the celebration details:
The 1000th IPL match will be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The BCCI aims to ensure that people have a good time while watching the cricket match. There will be a modest ceremony in which the two captains, MI’s Rohit Sharma and RR’s Sanju Samson, will be given special keepsakes.
In addition, there will be banners and unique flags held by volunteers in the stadium to commemorate the occasion. There will be video clips from previous IPL tournaments on the show.
According to a BCCI source, the event would begin with former India captain and coach-turned-commentator Ravi Shastri addressing the gathering. A film featuring a few players discussing the IPL will be shown. The BCCI office-bearers will then present both captains with a souvenir.
