The 23-year-old produced a stunning performance in front of the home crowds and looked dominant right from the start. He started the race in pole and took the win by a margin of more than 20 seconds ahead of rival Hamilton. The Red Bull driver wins the championship at the first Dutch Grand Prix since 1985. This was Hamilton’s 10th podium finish in 2021 and 175th of his career.

The final lap was the best part of the race for me – this track is incredible, so a single lap, low fuel … this is now one of my favorite tracks. I can’t wait to come back next year.”
