According to The Daily Express, Harry Maguire, Edinson Cavani, and Mason Greenwood are finding Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘undroppable presence’ problematic and a challenge to their own roles in the side. Maguire has been accused of lacking authority as captain, especially since Ronaldo’s arrival and the overbearing leader persona that comes with him.

Despite the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United has struggled to win games consistently this season. The 36-year-old has scored 14 goals in 21 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions – which is below-par according to his standards. However, Ronaldo is still the club’s leading goalscorer this season and has netted some important goals for the team. Last month, Manchester United sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following a string of poor results in the league this season. The Red Devils replaced the Norwegian coach with Ralf Rangnick, who was appointed on an interim basis.

Following the defeat to Wolves, Shaw’s comments about the club’s current mental state.

“Our players, we’ve been here a long time, we play at home, we know what it’s like to have high intensity, you can feel the momentum there. But I think tonight we struggled. We didn’t – or I didn’t feel on the field that we were all there together. We feel like we’re having a hard time. It was difficult,” Shaw said to Sky sports
