Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka announces pregnancy

Naomi Osaka, a Japanese tennis player, and Cordae, an American rapper, are expecting their first child. This was revealed in a social media declaration made by the 25-year-old professional tennis player.

Since 2019, the tennis pro has been dating the 25-year-old rapper. “The past few years have been interesting, to say the least,” Naomi Osaka said on Twitter on Wednesday (January 11), “but I find that it’s the most challenging times in life that may be the most fun.” They attended the Met Gala together in 2021, which Naomi Osaka co-chaired.

Naomi Osaka also posted a picture of an ultrasound. “These few months away from the game have given me a new love and appreciation for the game to which I’ve dedicated my life.”

“I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, every day is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom,’ haha,” Naomi added.

Cordae was not mentioned in the post by the athlete. However, the “RNP” musician’s representative appears to have verified to Billboard that he is the father. Osaka has won four Grand Slam singles titles. She has won the Australian Open twice and the US Open twice.
