Delhi Capitals (DC), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have qualified for the IPL 2021 Playoffs.
The Delhi Capitals finished the league stage on top of the points table with 20 points, followed by CSK in the second position with 18 points. RCB finished third while KKR are placed fourth with 14 points.
CSK, the three-time champions (2010, 2011, 2018), will be eyeing for their fourth title, whereas the Knight Riders have lifted the IPL trophy twice earlier (2012, 2014). RCB and DC, however, are yet to win a single IPL championship and will be looking to clinch the title.
Who will take on whom in Playoffs?
DC and CSK will compete in the first Qualifier in Dubai on 10th October. Followed by RCB and KKR in the Eliminator at Sharjah on Monday, 11th October.
The winner of Qualifier 1 automatically qualifies for the final, whereas the losing team in qualifier 1 will get one more chance. The loser of Qualifier 1 then faces the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2. The winner of Qualifier 2 meets the winner of Qualifier 1 in the final clash on October 15 in Dubai.
