After a goalmouth scuffle, Theo Hernandez scored after only five minutes. Jawad El Yamiq nearly equalized with an incredible overhead kick, but Hugo Lloris deflected the acrobatic strike onto the post.
Late in the game, Morocco increased the pressure, but France’s place in Sunday’s championship final was assured when substitute Randal Kolo Muani scored with his first touch.
