In the upcoming FIFA world cup 2022, 4 times winners Germany will be in Group E alongside 2010 winners Spain. While the United States will be in Group B with England and maybe Ukraine. They will play against Iran, a country with which they have had long-running political disagreements. In Group D, cup holders France will face Denmark and Tunisia. The competition will start in November with hosts Qatar taking on Ecuador.
Iran defeated the United States 2-1 in the 1998 World Cup in France. Five-time World Cup winners Brazil were pitted against Serbia, Switzerland, and Cameroon in Group G, making it one of the most difficult. However, in Group H, Uruguay and Ghana will meet to relive their 2010 quarter-final. For the first time since their lone debut 36 years ago, Canada will face Belgium, as well as Croatia, the 2018 runner-ups, and Morocco in Group F. The draw took place during a 45-minute musical and visual performance during which FIFA President Gianni Infantino guaranteed the competition would be “the best tournament ever.”
FIFA world cup 2022 is scheduled from Nov. 21 to Dec. 18
Brazil coach Tite said, “If you see recent results from our opponents. We will have to work to be able to cope well. I watched the Swiss (qualifying) game against Italy, a world-class, high-level game. We will need to be at our highest level.”
The decision to award Qatar hosting rights in 2010 drew widespread condemnation, and the country’s human rights condition has been closely scrutinized. During a ceremony hosted by British actor Idris Elba and broadcaster Reshmin Chowdhury, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani welcomed the guests, who included national team coaches, World Cup-winning players, and football authorities, who were all waiting to learn the group stage match-ups.
The tournament will take place from Nov. 21 to Dec. 18. It is the first time that soccer’s top tournament will take place in the Middle East. Moreover, the show will have an Arabian flavor to it.
