An alleged female stalker, Sharon Bell has been banned from going near David Beckham and his family after ‘harassing’ them by targeting one of the footballer’s children and claiming to be their mother. Bell is prohibited from approaching the star, his wife, and their children under the terms of an interim stalking order.

According to the Daily Mail, the 58-year-old is also banned from being within 500m of Beckham’s £6million Cotswolds mansion in Oxfordshire. She is also banned from the celebrity couple’s west London house, and daughter Harper’s school. The Metropolitan Police applied for the order at Westminster Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.

After Bell was accused of “acts associated with stalking” and a “campaign of harassment,” Scotland Yard applied for the order claiming it was “necessary to protect” the Beckhams. Bell allegedly first contacted the family in 2016, claiming to be the mother of one of the kids. Since then, her contact has increased. And she is accused of visiting the Beckhams’ homes, sending them letters, and waiting outside a school where one of their children attends between July and November this year. They claimed that Bell had carried out ‘acts associated with stalking’, calling the order ‘necessary to protect’ the Beckhams.

The interim order will be in effect for five months, until May 2022. When a court hearing will be held to determine whether a permanent stalking protection order is required. Bell is currently prohibited from contacting any member of David, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, or Harper Beckham’s family. Bell could be jailed if she breaks any of the terms of the order.
