Cristiano Ronaldo accuses ManU Manager Erik Ten Hag of betraying him

Cristiano Ronaldo attacked Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag in a shocking interview following his poor start to the season. Ronaldo has had difficulty securing consistent starts and has also been far from his best when it comes to his performances.

The Portuguese international has also encountered issues off the field, and Ten Hag has already reprimanded him for his actions. After leaving the stadium prior to the full-time whistle during United’s match against Tottenham Hotspurs, Ronaldo was recently cut from the first-team roster.

Now that he has discussed his dissatisfaction with United, Ronaldo has admitted that many people within the organization wanted to get rid of him before the current season began. Ronaldo reportedly wanted to leave United earlier this summer, but he was unable to secure a transfer since no major club showed interest in hiring the 37-year-old.

Contrary to the rumors that he desired a transfer, Ronaldo has asserted that club officials wanted him to leave and that he felt “betrayed.” The legendary Portuguese player added that he no longer has any regard for United manager Ten Hag because of what he allegedly did to him.

“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you,” Ronaldo said on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Not many teams ready to work with 37-year-old Ronaldo

The 37-year-old stated he came back to United last year with the conviction that the team belonged there and that he could help them get there, but Ronaldo said there are many people there who aren’t working in the club’s favor. With 21 goals in all competitions, Ronaldo led all scorers for United in the previous campaign.

“I think the fans should know the truth. I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Manchester United,” Ronaldo said.

“But you have some things inside that don’t help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal . . . a club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not, unfortunately,” Ronaldo added.
