Chess Boxing is the battle of the mind and the body together. You might not have heard of this sport because it is relatively new. The sport has been in activity since 1992 and is a sport requiring both body and brain. Since 1992 the game has gone worldwide with nations including England, Germany, Netherlands, France, Russia, and Japan who are embracing the new game. Players must have talents in both boxing and chess to contend at the most significant level. It is quite an interesting and evolving sport.
The objective of chess boxing
The objective of the sport is to beat your opponent in alternate rounds of either of the two games. Players can win the matches with the chess coming down to checkmate or relinquish and the boxing in either a stoppage or points decision.
Gameplay
Players clash in the sport and the match begins with a four-minute round of chess. The players further go into the ring briefly for a 3 minute round of boxing before again getting back to the chessboard. The match comprises 11 rounds altogether with 1-minute spans between rounds.
Every player has fighting gloves which they take out for the chess round. Headphones are given to the players when partaking in chess so not hear guidance from the crowd. The chess side of the game is worked out over a 12-minute clock and is basically ‘speed chess’. Authorities may step if they believe a player to slow down in the chess rounds to constrain them into a move within 10 seconds.
Scoring
The boxing rounds have scores according to a typical match on points. Except if the chess game has seen an end – and this is extremely uncommon in the sport – at that point, the game will go to check back on boxing points. If the boxing is a draw, the success will go to the player playing the black chess pieces.
Winning the game
To win you should either acquire a checkmate or get a withdrawal from the chess game. Then again, you can take your rival out in boxing or win on points to get success if the chess is a draw.
The winners can be commended with custom medals. Based on your requirement, these custom medals can be plated with different coatings, such as gold, silver, etc with personalized information engraved to distinguish the different achievements in the game. The medals are always a symbol of honor and respect.
