Cricket Australia announced the schedule for the 11th season of the Big Bash League (BBL), which is all set to begin from December 5 with a full home and away schedule. The season opener will be played between the defending champions Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The final will be played on January 28th.

Venue details

BBL 13 will be played across 14 venues. This includes seven states and territories. Cricket Australia has shortlisted Sydney Cricket Ground, Manuka Oval, Marvel Stadium, Utas Stadium, Optus Stadium, Adelaide Stadium, Metricon Stadium, Blundstone Stadium, Coffee International Stadium, Citi Power Centre Junction Oval, and Melbourne Cricket Ground.

A total of 61 games will be played in the upcoming 11th edition of BBL. The season includes eight double-headers and one triple-header. The final stage of the tournament will begin on January 21. The Eliminator, The Qualifier, and The Knockout taking place across three consecutive nights. The Challenger follows on Wednesday, January 26, with The Final on Friday, January 28.

The BBL draft for overseas has been postponed again due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And in a traditional way, each side will again be allowed to recruit three internationals. (www.speedclean.com)
