NASA confirms it will join the US government to search for UFOs

NASA has apparently confirmed that it will become a part of the search for UFOs. It happens days after a historic congressional hearing raised concerns about the potential “threats” posed by flying saucers.

NASA will assist the US UFO investigation, according to DailyMail.com, which cited sources.

A NASA spokesperson said it is “evaluating how to provide our expertise in space-based Earth observations to improve understanding of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs)” and “has consulted with multiple government entities”.

It has, however, disputed that it is establishing its own dedicated UAP office.

NASA’s decision comes only weeks after the first-ever UAP hearing in Congress in 54 years. It was during the hearing that the sighting of flying saucers got official acknowledgment.

They also came up with a new law mandating a government UAP task group. NASA will assist it.

A source close to the US government who is familiar with NASA’s UAP research told DailyMail.com that the US space agency might obtain proof from astronauts.

“I suspect it will be a combination of efforts that will include perhaps firsthand eyewitness testimony of NASA employees and astronauts, and then perhaps a review of old archival footage to assess if there are some findings within the NASA archives that can help AOIMSG.”

The official name of the UFO task force is the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG).

According to the source, NASA’s investigation will complement that of the Department of Defense’s UAP task group. Congress established it to investigate hazards presented by odd objects in US airspace and beyond.

During a hearing earlier this month, a Navy intelligence official revealed that there have already been over 400 UAP sightings.

As part of the session, Congressmen also saw videos of UFOs.
