A 22,500-kg part of China’s Long March 5B rocket is expected to crash on Earth on Friday. It’s unclear exactly where a sizable piece from a Chinese rocket will land when it returns to Earth.

The booster is about the size of a 10-story building and weighs 22. (www.voiceoverherald.com) 5 metric tons

The Long March 5B rocket’s rocket body serves as its primary booster when it is launched from China’s Tiangong space station. The booster is about the size of a 10-story building and weighs 22. 5 metric tons, according to the American nonprofit organization Aerospace Corporation.

The Chinese rocket booster is expected to re-enter the atmosphere on Friday at 11:20 GMT

The corporation said it expects the rocket body to make an “uncontrolled reentry” back to Earth.

“The uncertainty of where the large debris will ultimately land presents a level of risk to human safety and property damage that is well above commonly accepted thresholds,” it said.

The company is closely monitoring the rocket body and will make predictions about its landing as soon as more information is available.

The rocket booster is expected to re-enter the atmosphere on Friday at 1120 GMT, plus or minus three hours.
