'Treasure Trove' of dinosaur tracks found in Poland

There always been fascination to know more about dinosaurs. What if we tell you that there has been some discovery related to it? Hundreds of imprints, some so well under preservation the scaly skin, have been discovered in Poland. Scientists describe fossilised tracks and bones as a “treasure trove”.

There has been the discovery of various different footprints. As a result, providing geologists with insight into a complex ecosystem 200 million years ago. The Polish Geological Institute-National Research Institute says the discovery was in an opencast clay mine in Borkowice. It is 130 kilometers to the south of Warsaw.

Geologist Grzegorz Niedzwiedzki says, “ However in the traces left or as described as ‘treasure trove’ by dinosaurs, you can read their behavior and habits. We have traces left by dinosaurs running, swimming, resting, and sitting.” “For such a state of preservation to be possible, a very special sequence of events had to take place in a short time,” geologist Grzegorz Pienkowski said in a statement. “Right now, we already have a few hundred footprints and bones in our Borkowice collection. However, it seems that soon, we’ll have several thousands of such samples,” says Pienkowski.

The largest carnivorous dinosaur footprints are 40cm (15.7 inches) long. And the skin can be seen in many cases. They also found animal and fishbone fragments. Scientists all around the world certainly keep working day in and day out to provide us with accurate information. It will be interesting to catch up on more information from them regarding the life and species of Dinosaurs.
