According to the Miami Herald, scientists discovered the so-called golden egg on August 30 off the coast of Southern Alaska. Last week, scientists from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) stated that the shiny object appeared to have a hole in one side where a creature may have hatched.
During the Seascape Alaska 5 mission, a team of researchers discovered this gleaming golden ball at a depth of roughly two miles while excavating an extinct volcano.
