At the Promoting Unity and Global Coexistence conference in Washington, Rep Andre Carson stated the importance of safeguarding the rights of Muslims around the world and the ongoing work in Congress to protect vulnerable Afghans.
In the presence of members and advisors from the US Congress, religious and community leaders, and non-Muslim government officials, US Congressman, Mr. Andre Carson, in his speech at the opening ceremony of the “Forum of Islamic Leaders in North and South America”, in Washington stresses the importance of protecting the rights of Muslims around the world, and the ongoing work at Congress on that issue.
Also during the conference, Rabbi Saperstein said the call of Dr. Mohammad Alissa for all of us to work together, is a “model of the world we should want to create for all of God’s children”.
The Muslim World League Secretary-General, Mohammed Al-Issa, at the Forum of Islamic Leaders in North and South America expressed his pleasure to see Muslim societies in the Americas united by brotherhood, understanding and cooperation. Their enlightened realization that their religious identity does not conflict with their national identity but rather reinforces it is the way forward.
