A wide variety of jewelleries made from gold, silver, platinum, paper, flowers, etc are available in the market. But, jewellery made from breast milk? Absurd right? However, Safiyya Riyadh and her husband have now expanded their flower jewellery business into breast milk jewellery.
Magenta Flowers is the name of the company that the couple runs. It turns special occasion flowers into priceless souvenirs by preserving them. In the year 2019, the company began operations. It has completed approximately 4,000 orders. The firm has now grown to include breast milk jewellery. The company anticipates a turnover of 1.5 million pounds ($2 million) by 2023.
The pair is from the London borough of Bexley. Such jewelleries are becoming increasingly popular. The couple is assisting women in storing their breast milk by transforming it into valuable stones in order to “memorialise their breastfeeding journey.”
Necklaces, earrings, and rings are the breast milk jewellery available
“It provides a sentimental connection between mothers and their babies and celebrates that cherished bond,” Safiyya said. To have their milk preserved into priceless diamonds, customers must donate at least 30 mL of milk. The company did a lot of studies to figure out how to turn breast milk into valuable stones. It made sure that the colour of the milk stayed the same. According to reports, Safiyya discovered a technical method for dehydrating the liquid and then combining it with high-quality non-yellowing resin to keep the jewellery pristine for a long time. Necklaces, earrings, and rings made with breast milk are available.
