The hidden face of Salman Noman, a Pakistani musician behind the comedy

Salman Noman

Salman Noman is a sensation, there is no doubt about that when every one of his new videos surpasses a million views in under 24 hours, usually reaching multiple times that in a short period of time.

If you know who we are talking about, it’s probably for his comedy content, but many of the recent fans of this creator don’t know that he is also a musician.

He released his first songs two years ago and he hasn’t left this side of his career even after he confessed in a recent interview that he was afraid of the views his next songs would get – he trusts his vast community to support them.

In that interview, he talked about how happy he is with YouTube launching the Shorts format which is similar to TikTok and key in the exposure Salman got thanks to them, receiving hundreds of millions of views per month.

Today we have the chance to know a bit more about him and we want to focus on his musical side, less known by everyone, but key in his trajectory. Let’s talk to him:

Why did you decide to start making songs?

“I launched my first song, called Hua Jo Pyar, on the 9th of November 2020 and it was a hit on YouTube, I gained one million views in just 2 days. I received very positive feedback about it and then some months later I launched two more songs: Manataan and Baap Na Ban, which also were a success. I never thought that I would receive that much love from my audience and I’m so thankful to them”.

How do you think that your comedy content and the music can work together? Any plans to integrate them more?

“Well, I love singing so music is my life and people love my comedy so sometimes I also make parodies of famous songs and people love them. I once made a parody of the Despacito song as Despacito 2.0 by Salman Noman and it was a huge success. I received 11 million views on YouTube so that taught me that mixing comedy and songs together can work well and it’s something I like, which makes it perfect”.

When are your next songs planned?

“I am always struggling to think about when I should launch my next song because it’s a very difficult task. If you are launching something new, you always look for the perfect time around a particular occasion because you want more views and a greater audience, every singer is trying to do their best because they want their voice to be heard by more and more

people so I think Christmas will be the best time to launch the next song because of the holidays and the spirit of holidays”.

We can expect to see a lot more from Salman Noman in the next few years, as the internet sensation and music artist has blown up on YouTube in the last year and now has over eight million subscribers on YouTube.
