Menstrual cycles bring along cramps, back pain, mood swings, anxiety, irritability, anger, and many more outburst of emotions. The intensity differs from person to person. However, one solution that can work for everyone is yoga.
In this video, Victoria Sisco, a TikTok influencer and yoga & barre instructor, demonstrates yoga poses that will ease menstrual pain.
Hold each of these yoga poses for five deep breaths –
1. Child’s pose – Widen your knees, sit back on your heels, and let your head rest down.
2. Butterfly pose – Bring the soles of your feet together while widening your knees. Catch on to your ankles and fold over.
3. Supine butterfly – Lay on your back and make the butterfly position with your legs. Rest your hands on your belly while breathing.
4. Gentle twist – Bring your knees together and let them fall over to your right and left side for five breaths each.
5. Dead bug – Put your arms and legs up to the sky and roll out your ankles and wrists.
We hope these yoga poses help you with your menstrual pain.
