Pointe

This gigantic estate, which includes three massive residences and a private boat basin, is on track to become the most expensive property in the world. The enormous private sanctuary, known as Gordon Pointe, is currently for sale for a stunning £235 million. The sea-facing mega-mansion could become the most costly residence. Aerial image of the mansion, revealing all three residences, including the main house and mansion. And if it finds a buyer willing to pay the exorbitant price, it might become the most expensive piece of property on Earth. The estate is located on a peninsula in Naples’ rich Port Royal area, in a guarded compound that faces the breezy sea.

Gordon Pointe, which spans 2,613,600 square feet of lush flora, now comprises three opulent mansions: an 11,500 square foot main house, a 5,500 square foot home, and a 5,800 square foot household. The property features a beachfront with water on three sides, three enormous swimming pools, and a massive yacht basin. If you wish to have additional outside fun, there is a 111-foot dock that can accommodate around six boats. All of Naples’ stores, restaurants, bars, and entertainment are within walking distance of the estate. According to the listing page, whoever purchases the opulent estate would receive “immediate membership to the Port Royal Club”.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Gordon Pointe’s current sellers are family members of the late billionaire John Donahue and his wife, Rhodora. According to family legend, Donahue was flying above Naples in the 1980s when he noticed the inhabited island on which the palace now stands – and decided to purchase the property. Surprisingly, he spent only £800,000 in 1985 for the 4.3-acre plot, which had nothing but a fishing hut surrounded by mangroves. Over the years, he continued to purchase adjacent acreage, eventually acquiring over 60 acres in Naples’ private Port Royal community. Now, the late couple’s 13 children and 84 grandkids are selling a chunk of the family’s valued compound, which comprises three homes. “We’ve all enjoyed it, but it’s more or less time to move on,” John and Rhodora’s son, Bill Donahue, told the media outlet. A slew of notable guests have visited the Donahues at their coastal oasis, including former President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush. “We nicknamed the room they stayed in the Presidential Suite,” Bill added.
