Billionaire claims his movement is the key to “solving death”
Bryan Johnson, the billionaire known for his extreme anti-aging experiments, has launched a new “religion” called Don’t Die, which he claims will help “solve death” and “save the human race.”
In a detailed post on X, Johnson, who has gained attention for undergoing plasma transfusions with his 17-year-old son Talmage as part of an experiment called Project Blueprint, announced the launch of his new app, also named “Don’t Die.” He argued that with the rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI), humans are at risk of extinction and presented his solution to this existential threat.
A new religion
“Dear humanity, I am building a religion,” Johnson declared in his post.
Anticipating skepticism, he continued, “Wait a second, I know what you’re going to say. Hold that knee-jerk reaction and let me explain.”
Johnson outlined his vision for the movement, stating:
- Don’t Die will become history’s fastest-growing ideology.
- It will save the human race.
- It will usher in an existence more spectacular than we can imagine.
“It is inevitable. The only question is: will you be an early or late adopter?” he added.
What is the “Don’t Die” movement?
According to Johnson, Don’t Die is a “universal translator and the grand unifying theory of existence.”
He argued that traditional societal structures, such as:
- Democracy, which governs civic matters,
- Capitalism, which dictates wealth, and
- Religion, which cares for the soul,
are “too narrow” to address the challenges of modern civilization.
Instead, he proposes his new ideology, which he claims fluently interacts with:
- The universe through physics
- AI via mathematics
- Software through computation
- Living organisms through biology
- Humans via storytelling
- Truth via memetics
Johnson emphasized that Don’t Die is “how we transition into the era of AI and solving death.”
“This is the moment. Humanity is entering a period where intelligence will either ensure its own survival or engineer its extinction. The question is no longer philosophical—it is mathematical, computational, and imminent,” he stated.
How does “Don’t Die” work?
Johnson claimed that for years, he has fully immersed himself in the movement, focusing on optimizing his body and lifestyle to slow aging. He asserts that this approach has given him the “slowest aging speed in recorded history.”
According to him, the core principles of Don’t Die include:
- Sleeping on time, exercising daily, and eating nutritiously
- Measuring and improving every organ in the body
- Eliminating toxins, lowering stress, and spending time with family and friends
Encouraging people to join his movement, Johnson urged them to download his app and become a “Don’t Die Citizen.”
“Download the Don’t Die app, track your Don’t Die Score, connect with others, and start a local community. This is how we turn Don’t Die from an idea into a global movement,” he concluded.
