Both Android and iOS Netflix users now have access to mobile gaming as Netflix launches mobile games. The video streaming behemoth has made a few mobile games available to premium subscribers and plans to add more in the future. So, let’s take a look at Netflix’s new gaming page, including how to access it, what games are available, and so on.
What games can you play on Netflix?
At launch, Netflix introduces a variety of mobile games to the list. It includes:
- Shooting Hoops by Frosty Pop
- Teeter Up by Frosty Pop
- A puzzle card game called Card Blast from Amuzo and Rogue Games
- Stranger Things: 1984 from BonusXP
- Stranger Things 3: The Game from BonusXP
How to play games on Netflix?
Netflix mobile games are accessible at no additional cost, but you must be a paid user to play them.
If you have a paid subscription, you can download any of the aforementioned games from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
After you’ve installed the game, you’ll be prompted to check in with your Netflix account. If you have the Netflix app installed on your phone, it will immediately sign you into the game after it has loaded.
With a dedicated tab in the Netflix app, Android users will be able to enjoy games directly. However, each game must be downloaded separately from the Play Store.
On Netflix, how are games saved?
By tapping your profile symbol, which is available on the start screen, you can also sign out of your Netflix account. It’s worth remembering that all of your game progress directly ties to your Netflix account, specifically your profile. While playing any title, you can switch between profiles. But any data saved links to that profile.
What is the purpose of Netflix’s mobile games?
Netflix is interested in gaming as a way to entertain and retain its users, rather than as a way to make direct revenue, according to a TechCrunch report. Netflix games are now available for download for free, are ad-free, and do not involve any in-app purchases.
