Who are the world’s top ten content creators according to Forbes?

Social media is continuously developing and evolving, and whether you feel that this is a good or bad thing, the social media moguls leading their respective platforms can witness it. Forbes has revealed their list of the top 50 social media content creators in 2023 who are “turning followers into fortunes.” According to the business journal, the list included 50 honorees who used their combined 2.6 billion followers to earn an estimated $700 million, which is up more than 20% from 2022’s $570 million score.

The ranking is based on predicted earnings, follower counts, engagement rates, and entrepreneurial activity of creators

Forbes studied data from the creator marketing firm Influential to rank the world’s top social media stars based on predicted earnings, follower counts, engagement rates, and entrepreneurial activity of creators.

Mikayla Nogueira, a Massachusetts native who has more than 17 million followers on TikTok and Instagram because to her successful cosmetics tutorials and heavy Boston accent, made the top 50 list. According to Forbes, she is currently worth $7 million.

“Over 13% of them interact with her content, making her the fourth-most engaging creator on this list. Her audience’s loyalty has played a key role in her earning $2.4 million last year from deals with Charlotte Tilbury, L’Oreal, and CVS,” Forbes wrote about Nogueira.

Overall, the makeup artist came in 36th place on the top 50 list.

Jimmy Donaldson also known as MrBeast, is the famous social media behemoth who took the first place.

“With more than 300 million followers, MrBeast’s fan base is nearly as large as the U.S. population. MrBeast’s power and popularity stem from his high production videos and stunts that include surviving in Antarctica for 50 hours and building a Wonka chocolate factory,” Forbes wrote.

Social media influencers Olajide Olatunji (KSI), Jake Paul, Rhett & Link, Charli D’Amelio, Logan Paul, Elliot Tebele (F*ckJerry), Emma Chamberlain, Matt Rife, and Brent Rivera rounded out the top ten.
