Braving scorching heat, thousands equipped with umbrellas, mats, and food items flocked to one of the city’s highest points to witness the second day of the concert. According to the Associated Press, local police estimated around 25,000 fans on the hill on Saturday, almost doubling to 40,000 by Sunday. One user on X wrote, “no amount of think pieces could take this away from Taylor Swift.”
During her Sunday performance, Swift expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, stating, “We are lucky enough to get to play this show for 74,000 beautiful people in this stadium, and if the reports are correct, about 50,000 beautiful people outside the stadium.” She added, “This is actually a really special night because this is our last show in Germany. I cannot express to you how wonderful the German crowds have been to us over the last few weeks.”
Fans began gathering hours before the concert, securing spots on the green hill and the banks of the Nymphenburg Canal. Photos and videos of the illuminated hilltop have gone viral, capturing the magical scene of thousands of phone screens lighting up the night.
