Stranger Things producers The Duffer Brothers posted a long statement on social media on Thursday, along with significant news that the much-anticipated Stranger Things season 4 is coming soon. The new season will be released in two parts, according to Matt and Ross Duffer, with the second part being the final season.
The first volume will be available on May 27th, 2022 on Netflix. However, the second volume will be released on July 1st, 2022. The new season will have nine episodes, but they will be even lengthier than the prior seasons. Season 4 will be twice as long as season 3.
Season 4 was the most challenging season
Confirming the release date, the producers put out a statement. The statement reads: “With nine scripts, over eight-hundred pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effect shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous seasons, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one.”
“Given the unprecedented length, and to get it to you as soon as possible, Season 4 will be released in two volumes. Volume One will release on May 27th; Volume Two will release five weeks later on July 1st. So that’s the good news. It’s coming soon. And it’s bigger than ever. It’s also the beginning of the end.”
What storyline will season 4 follow?
- The first is about Hopper, who is imprisoned in Russia. It has already been verified that Joyce and Murray will meet up with him in Russia in some way.
- Eleven, who may have been kidnapped and transferred to a brand new lab somewhere in the desert, will be the centre of the plot.
- The third plotline sees Dustin, Steve, Robin, Lucas, Max, Erica, and Nancy return to Hawkins to investigate the spooky Creel House.
- The fourth part will take place in California. It will feature Will, Mike, Jonathan, and a new character named Argyle. Their plot will almost certainly be entangled with Eleven’s.
Season three climaxed with Hopper and Eleven making a crucial sacrifice. It leaves Hawkins with Will Byers and his family to start up a new life away from the bizarre events that had occurred in their hometown, namely the Demogorgon attacks. The show’s physical production started in February 2020. Throughout the year 2021, a number of teasers for Stranger Things Season 4 were released.
