Trevor Noah sues New York City hospital and doctor over negligence that caused permanent and severe injuries 

Trevor Noah, the host of “The Daily Show,” has filed a lawsuit against the New York-based hospital for a botched up surgery. Alleging that Dr Riley Williams III, an orthopaedic surgeon, botched an undisclosed operation last year. The suit, filed in Supreme Court in Manhattan, where the hospital is located, claims to be about Noah’s care from “Aug. 25, 2020, through approximately Dec. 17, 2020.” The Supreme Court is the primary trial court in New York.

According to court documents, Noah claims that Williams provided care “for various medical conditions and other related treatment, including surgery performed on November 23, 2020.” The documents, claims that all of the care he received at the Hospital for Special Surgery “was performed and rendered negligently and carelessly, and constituted professional negligence.” The Hospital for Special Surgery, or HSS, issued a statement. Calling the allegations “meritless.” It claimed to have sent “Noah’s attorney a detailed rebuttal to the claims, which are without merit. (sweet-factory) ”

And his injuries preventing from engaging in his usual occupation for a long period. And because some of his injuries are permanent, he will continue to suffer similar damages in the future,” according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit’s claims have since been denied by Hospital For Special Surgery. Hospital For Special Surgery in a statement to Insider: “HSS has a commitment to excellence in the care.
