Trevor Noah to return as host of 2023 Grammy Awards after leaving ‘The Daily Show’

Comedian Trevor Noah is all set to return to the Grammy stage as a host after saying farewell to his “Daily Show” on television. The South African comedian will serve as the event’s host for the third time in a row.

The Grammys announced the news on their official Twitter account. The tweet read, “Third time`s a charm! @Trevornoah is set to return as the 2023 #GRAMMYs host.”

“One of my favorite things about the Grammys as a whole is that it is one of the few places where you get to experience artists in their rawest element, which is performing their music live.” Noah shared his excitement in an interview with Billboard.

The primetime Emmy winner added, “Brandi Carlile performing a song live and you`re hearing her voice and listening to her play her instruments — there`s nothing like it. “You develop a deep appreciation for what these people are doing beyond just the music that they make.”

He will also be producing the show apart from hosting. A year after moving to Las Vegas due to an increase in COVID-19 instances, this year’s ceremony will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The award ceremony will take place on February 5 in Los Angeles.

The 65th Grammy Awards, which honor and celebrate the greatest in music, have Beyonce as their top nominee. Nine nominations have been received by the artist. Eight for her album Renaissance and one for the song “Be Alive” from the movie “King Richard.”
