HBO releases the first trailer for ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel ‘House of the Dragon’. The much-awaited prequel takes place 200 years before the events in Game of Thrones. It follows the Targaryen family’s rise to power as rulers of Westeros.
The teaser trailer shows Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen. He narrates the stories of Targaryens in the throne room, jousts, fights, and tense scenes. This series has adapted more from books. The storyline is very much like the description by author George R.R. Martin’s books. “Dragon” is based on Martin’s book, “Fire and Blood.”
Dreams didn’t make us kings; dragons did
Even though the trailer doesn’t spill any details, it shows “Dragon” will premiere, ending simply with the year it is due, 2022. What makes the trailer more intense and dramatic is, the statement about the Targaryen dynasty: “Dreams didn’t make us kings; dragons did.” In addition to the trailer, new cast members have been announced by HBO.
Wil Johnson will play Ser Vaemond Velaryon, the younger brother to Coryls Velaryon and commander in the Velaryon navy. John Macmillan will play Ser Laenor Velaryon, the son of Corlys Velaryon and Rhaenys Targaryen. Savannah Steyn will be seen as Lady Laena Velayron, the daughter of Corlys Velaryon and Rhaenys Targaryen.
