'The Brutalist' dominates the 2025 Golden Globes: Full list of winners

The 2025 Golden Globe Awards celebrated excellence in film and television, with “The Brutalist” emerging as the night’s biggest winner, securing multiple prestigious awards, including best drama motion picture.

In a remarkable evening for “The Brutalist,” Adrien Brody claimed his first Golden Globe for his leading performance, while Brady Corbet achieved double success with a best director win for the film he also co-wrote. The film, which entered the ceremony with seven nominations, dominated the drama categories.

The musical/comedy categories saw Jacques Audiard’s “Emilia Pérez” shine despite its record-setting 10 nominations, translating into just two wins: best musical or comedy and best original song. Zoe Saldaña’s powerful performance earned her the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a musical or comedy, while co-star Selena Gomez’s nominated performance added to the film’s impressive showing.

“The Bear” continued its critical acclaim, though its five nominations—the most for any television series—resulted in a single win for Jeremy Allen White, who captured the best actor award for the second consecutive year.

Historic moments

The ceremony marked a significant milestone, with Nikki Glaser becoming the first solo female host in Golden Globes history. Fresh from her acclaimed performance at “The Roast of Tom Brady,” Glaser brought her signature wit to the hosting duties, though she didn’t win in her nominated category for “Someday You’ll Die.” The award instead went to Ali Wong.

The thriller “Conclave,” which explores the intricate process of papal election, added to the evening’s highlights by securing the best screenplay award among its six nominations.

The ceremony, broadcast live on CBS, is now available for streaming on Paramount+ for viewers who missed the live event or wish to revisit the memorable moments from this landmark evening in entertainment.
