Universal Pictures Partners With Snoop Dogg For Biopic

An upcoming film on the life and career of well-known American rapper and musician Snoop Dogg is being developed by Universal Pictures! As the first “definitive biopic of the hip-hop singer and pop cultural icon,” the movie is being hailed as a success. It’ll be an interesting first production for Dogg’s Death Row Pictures. The project will be directed by Allen Hughes (Broken City), and it will be produced by Dogg, Hughes, and Sara Ramaker.

Snoop Dogg has dominated the music business for decades

Since 1992, Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., better known by his stage name Snoop Dogg, has dominated the music business. He has received an American Music Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a total of 17 Grammy Award nominations over the course of his lengthy and accomplished career. Joe Robert Cole, who has written for American Crime Story and the Black Panther franchise in the past, will pen it (two episodes). The music division will be led by Mike Knobloch, head of music and publishing at NBC Universal.
