Lawyer suggests hush money used to silence victims

As the legal troubles for music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs continue to grow, a prominent lawyer has made explosive claims that several celebrities associated with him have been quietly paying off victims to avoid public lawsuits. Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents many of the victims, has alleged that high-profile individuals linked to Combs are using hush money to shield themselves from the scandal.

Diddy faces multiple lawsuits

Combs, who has been embroiled in lawsuits involving sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, has seen his once-glamorous lifestyle come under intense scrutiny. The rapper’s arrest led to media outlets focusing on his infamous parties and celebrity connections, causing many of his peers to distance themselves from him.

According to Buzbee, some celebrities—implicated in a case involving over 120 alleged victims—are trying to avoid public exposure by settling with victims behind closed doors. “In every single case, especially cases like this… we attempt to resolve these matters without the filing of a public lawsuit, and we’ve done that already with a handful of individuals, many of which you’ve heard of before,” Buzbee told TMZ.

Fears of a wider fallout

Although Diddy remains the only individual currently charged in connection to these federal sex crimes, Buzbee has hinted that more names could be exposed as the case develops. Many believe that these unnamed celebrities could face legal consequences if they were involved in or witnessed the alleged abuses at Combs’ notorious parties, referred to as “Freak Offs.” The lawyer explained that even those who merely observed or failed to intervene at these events may face repercussions. “If you were there in the room, participated, watched it happen, and didn’t say anything or helped cover it up, in my view, you have a problem,” Buzbee said.

Victims’ claims and growing pressure

Of the more than 120 alleged victims, 25 claim they were minors at the time of the abuse. Buzbee is preparing to take legal action against additional high-profile figures who may have been involved. However, he emphasized the importance of ensuring thorough investigations before releasing any new names to the public. “We want to make sure if we name individuals beyond Mr. Combs that we have done our homework because it is going to create a firestorm,” he added. As Diddy’s legal battles unfold, speculation continues to swirl around who else might be implicated, and how far-reaching the fallout could be for some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.
