At the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, the 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards are being presented. Each year, the award event recognizes the top movies and television shows from the previous calendar year. Votes cast by the actors themselves are used to choose the winners. The evening’s top prizes honor the ensemble casts of particular movies and TV shows.
The casts of Women Talking, The Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Babylon, and The Banshees of Inisherin are among those nominated in the top categories this year. The nominees for outstanding ensemble cast in a drama series include Better Call Saul, The White Lotus, The Crown, Severance, and Ozark. Nominees for outstanding ensemble cast in a comedy series include Abbott Elementary, Barry, The Bear, Hacks, and Only Murders in the Building.
