Actor R Madhavan’s 16-year-old son Vedaant Madhavan, wins seven medals at the recently-concluded junior national aquatic championships in Bengaluru. Vedaant Madhavan is representing Maharashtra. According to the reports, he has won four silver and three bronze medals in the swimming championships.
The 47th edition of the concluded junior national aquatic championships was held at Bengaluru’s Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre. Vedaant won silver medals for Maharashtra in the 800m freestyle, 1500m freestyle, 4×100 freestyle relay, and 4×200 freestyle relay. In addition to this, Vedaant has grabbed bronze medals in the 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, and 400m freestyle.

R. Madhavan is a proud father. One can see it from the post he did on his son’s 16th birthday. The actor writes “beating me at almost everything I am good at…”. The young swimmer earned bronze for India at the Latvian Open Swimming Championships in March of this year.
“So very happy and proud of the Indian contingent that won one gold and 2 bronze at the Latvian open qualifiers… Congratulations @tanishgeorge and @vedaant_madhavan for getting the bronze for India. So so proud of you boys. You have won despite competing with way older and stronger swimmers… wow,” Madhavan posts on Instagram.
Madhavan has expressed his delight at his son’s numerous swimming accomplishments. This is certainly visible on several occasions. In terms of employment, he was most recently seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero in 2018 and Amazon Prime Video’s Nishabdham in 2020. He will be the lead in the title role in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. He is the writer and director.
