The Producers Guild Awards, or PGA Awards, were live on March 20th. The awards ceremony was dominated by a few successful films from the previous year, and the winners list demonstrated that it was little different from any of the other award evenings that had previously occurred in 2022. This season, Coda, Succession, Ted Lasso, Encanto, Summer Of Soul, and a few more have been consistently earning prizes, and they took home some of the top honors at the PGA Awards as well.
CODA’s success certainly gives it a leg up on the competition ahead of the Oscars next weekend. While The Power of the Dog has won top honors at the BAFTA and DGA Awards, CODA’s PGA Award win is a great complement to its SAG Award for best ensemble. With one week until the Academy Awards, it looks that this year’s best picture competition will be between these two front-runners. Here’s a complete list of winners for the Producers Guild Awards.
