Even after nearly a month in theatres, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Pathaan is doing exceptionally well at the box office. The film has surpassed the coveted Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide and is on its way to becoming the top Hindi-language film of all time. Pathaan has been unaffected by this week’s new releases. Some of them are Shehzada by Kartik Aaryan and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania by Marvel.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film added another Rs 1.25 crore (all languages) to its next collection in India on its fourth Monday. The film’s total Hindi-language collection in India now stands at around Rs 499 crore. It is still some distance away from surpassing the Hindi version of Baahubali: The Conclusion, which grossed Rs 510.99 crore. The film added over Rs 10 crore to its total collection in the Hindi market during its fourth weekend. Friday brought in Rs 2.20 crore, Saturday brought in Rs 3.25 crore, and Sunday brought in Rs 4.15 crore.
Pathaan is the fifth Indian film to cross the Rs. 1000 crore mark globally
Yash Raj Films revealed the worldwide collections of Pathaan from Sunday to Monday. YRF tweeted, “#Pathaan streak continues to soar,” and revealed that the film has earned Rs 996 crore worldwide. With Monday’s earnings, the film has surpassed the Rs 1000 crore mark. The film’s domestic gross collection is Rs 623 crore, and its overseas gross collection is Rs 377 crore, bringing its total gross collection to Rs 1000 crore, according to Box Office Worldwide.
Pathaan is the fifth Indian film to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark globally, following Dangal (Rs 1968.03 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1747 crore), KGF 2 (Rs 1188 crore), and RRR (Rs 1174 cr). It should be noted that Pathaan accomplished this feat despite not being released in China. Shah Rukh Khan was ecstatic when Pathaan crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark. On Monday, he hosted an Ask SRK session in which he revealed his lucky number to a Twitter user. When asked if he had a lucky number, Shah Rukh replied, “Right now any number above 1000 ha ha ha #Pathaan.”
With Pathaan’s massive success, it remains to be seen whether other Bollywood superstars can reclaim their lost glory. Kartik Aaryan, who saved Bollywood from extinction in 2022 with his film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, has recently failed miserably with his latest film Shehzada. Now, Akshay Kumar, who starred in four flops last year, is back with Selfiee on Friday.
