Oprah Winfrey hospitalized due to ‘very serious’ stomach issue

Oprah Winfrey was recently admitted to the hospital due to a severe stomach issue, as disclosed by her close friend Gayle King.

Gayle, 69, openly shared this news on Tuesday, mentioning that she hoped Oprah, 70, wouldn’t mind her revealing the details of the former talk show host’s condition.

“She had some kind of stomach flu where stuff was coming out of both ends,” Gayle stated on CBS Mornings.

“I won’t get too graphic.

“But she ended up in the hospital with dehydration and needed an IV. It was a very serious situation.”

Is Oprah still suffering?

When asked about Oprah’s current health, Gayle reassured everyone that Oprah would soon be back on the air.

“She will be okay. She will be okay.” Gayle added.

Recently, Oprah made headlines for her documentary about people using weight loss drugs, a topic she described as “very personal” in a press statement.

Throughout her career, Oprah has been open about her weight loss journey. Last year, rumors circulated that she was using Ozempic, a diabetes medication popular in Hollywood, for weight loss.

In December, Oprah admitted she had started taking weight loss medication after previously relying on her own “willpower” to achieve her desired figure.

This has led to fans questioning whether there are long-lasting dangers to using drugs such as Ozempic.

Whilst they have a medically defined use for diabetes patients, the unintended side-effect of allowing people to lose weight hasn’t been fully tested as of yet.

Oprah having admitted to using such drugs has left her open to further questioning, especially after this latest health scare.

Has the use of Ozempic impacted Oprah’s health? Is it a coincidence? Are there longer-term negative impacts that they have yet to discover in people who have used the medications as a weight-loss facilitator?
