The pop artist Taylor Swift is one of the wealthiest singers in the world with a whopping $450 million in net worth. She has also had some of the most successful careers as a vocalist.
Looks like her pet has benefited from all of her achievements, whether it has been financial or otherwise. She is a Scottish Fold cat with the name Olivia Benson, named after Mariska Hargitay’s lead character on the TV show “Law & Order.” She frequently appears in Taylor Swift’s music videos, and TV commercials, and even has her own line of merchandise.
As a consequence, the cat is the third-richest pet in the world, with a net worth of $97 million, to be exact. That’s all there is to “Today’s WTF fact.
“Olivia is ranked third on a list of the wealthiest animals in the world, according to the website allaboutcats.com. Her entry on the site describes her as “the best friend and companion of artist Taylor Swift, who asks the question: is Instagram celebrity really the most profitable profession for your pet? With a whopping $97 million net worth, Olivia has found success outside of the world of Instagram influencing. The Scottish Fold earned her fortune starring alongside her owner in several music videos, has crafted her own merchandise line and has had cameos in many big-budget ads, including for the likes of Diet Coke and Ned Sneakers.”
Although the methodology of the aforementioned list is questionable, we believe it is only for pleasure and not for business or any other utility that Forbes rankings may have.
Unrelated to it, a German Shepherd named Gunther VI holds the top spot. The dog apparently has a $500 million fortune and is owned by the Gunther Corporation. He apparently inherited an $80 million inheritance, which grew significantly as a result of real estate investments made by the dog’s owners.
“The world’s richest pet, a German shepherd known as Gunther VI, is owned by the Gunther Corporation also manage the dog’s estate and fortune and through real estate investments have rocketed Gunther’s grandfather’s inherited a fortune from a mere $80 million in 1992 to the $500 million reported today. It is no surprise that this lucky boy finds himself the richest pet in the world, five times richer than the runner-up on this list. To demonstrate his business ability and talent for real estate, it has been reported that Gunther has recently sold a mansion, formerly owned by Madonna, for $29 million in 2022. That’s one clever dog,” the entry reads.
