Netflix’s The Crown is one of the most loved series, especially for the royal family fans and enthusiasts. The premiere date for the upcoming season will be out soon. The show makers may recreate some ofPrincess Diana’s iconic looks but not all. The producers have announced that they will not recreate her iconic outfit, which she wore at a royal gala performance of the English National Ballet’s Swan Lake in June 1997, since it was one of her final public outings. The event, on the other hand, has been re-created for the Netflix show.
However, while Elizabeth Debicki characterizes the princess stunningly in the scene on the red carpet of the Swan Lake showing, it comes up that the crown’s producers went a little off-topic on the dress design. Princess Diana wore a beautiful Jacques Azagury turquoise sequin shift dress in the 1997 moments, but in the series scene, the Australian actress wears a replica of a dress the Princess of Wales wore to a party years earlier.
Not only is the dress not in the recreation, but so is the pearl and diamond necklace. That was so representational of the occasion. In reality, the necklace was auctioned off as the “Swan Lake necklace” for £10 million 20 years later. The prominent sequel The Crown’s fifth season concentrates on the deterioration of Diana and Prince Charles’ marriage. Debicki took over as Diana after Emma Corrin left the show. “The Crown finished filming one day earlier than planned for the Christmas break. Following a few positive cases within the team. Thus ensuring others’ safety. And so that everyone on production can enjoy a festive break with their loved ones,” a statement from Netflix read.
