Mrs. World: Two Arab nations in final as Mrs. America Shaylyn Ford wins

Mrs. UAE and Mrs. Jordan stunned judges at the Mrs. World beauty contest on Saturday, but Mrs. America Shaylyn Ford took home the crown.

Mrs. Jordan Jaclyn Stapp was voted first runner-up at the glamourous event in Las Vegas, while Debanjali Kamstra, who was representing the UAE for the first time in the pageant’s history, was named second runner-up.

Mrs. World, Kate Schneider, who was also Mrs. Ireland World, crowned Ford after she overcame 57 other competitors for the title.

The pageant included typical demonstrations of national costumes, swimwear, and eveningwear, as well as a series of interview questions designed to assess competitors’ personalities and public speaking skills, during which Kamstra and Stapp discussed their Middle East philanthropic work.

Ford dazzled the judges with a gorgeous one-sleeved evening gown with a thigh-splitting split and her blonde curls flowing across her shoulders.

The executive director of a charity has been married to her pastor husband for seven years and they have three children together.

On November 19, 2021, Ford, 37, of Granville, Ohio, was proclaimed Mrs. America at the annual Mrs. America pageant.

When asked about her plans for the pageant’s Beauty For Good and Victoria’s Voice charities as Mrs. World, Ford said: “I’ve already started. My first meeting is on Monday with the Beauty For Good team and I’m so excited to get some victory clubs going in our state.

“I’ve worked with a lot of our state queens and we want to continue expanding the program.

“I am so excited to be partnering with [drug charity] Victoria’s Voice and Beauty For Good, and I think we can make a real change.

“I have had opioid addiction hit my own family. I’ve lost people who I love and I’m very passionate about taking this forward.

“Together I feel we can take massive ground and I can’t wait to do it.”

Other contestants

Mrs. India World Navdeep Kaur, on the other hand, created an indelible mark at the Mrs. World beauty contest in 2022. The National Costume Competition finale was held on Saturday, January 15, at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and photos and video of the lovely Mrs. Navdeep Kaur from the competition have surfaced, and they are mesmerizing. Navdeep was in a futuristic costume that is based on the “Kundalini Chakra.”

Mrs. UAE World, Debanjali Kamstra, who has continuously been one of the top contenders in the public vote that determines the Mrs. World pageant’s 15 finalists, almost missed out on the title. Kamstra, 35, was then one of the top three contestants during a spectacular event held on Saturday in Las Vegas, the site of this year’s pageant.

The 15 semi-finalists, including Kamstra and Stapp, sashayed around the stage to Diana Ross’s I’m Coming Out in similar plunging black one-pieces teamed with perspex heels for the swimsuit round.

The final six then paraded in front of the judges in a bright pink ensemble. While at it, the hosts provided a little history about each contestant’s life and career.

In the swimsuit round, Mrs. Jordan also took up the Congeniality Award.
