Prepare to sway as we reveal more facts on biopic of Michael Jackson. Makers teased the first look at the film, which stars Jackson’s nephew in the major role. The first look at the film features his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, recreating his look from the historic Dangerous Tour, which took place in 1992-93.

Jaafar is seen recreating Michael’s tour costume, which was one of the late singer’s most iconic outfits of all time. Michael Jackson fans will recognize the white vest paired with a white shirt with all buttons open and his hair waving as he sings to an enthusiastic audience.
That look is known as the “Man in the Mirror” look. It was taken by photographer Kevin Mazur, who documented Jackson’s career and “This Is It” rehearsals.
Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, portrays the King of Pop in the biopic. The biopic picture, titled Michael, is set to open in theaters on April 18, 2025. The film is currently under production.
In the first look offered by the makers, producer Graham King spoke on what spectators may expect from the film. He stated, “With Jaafar, every look, note, and dancing move is Michael. He personifies Michael in a manner no other actor could.”

Michael’s ensemble includes Colman Domingo as father Joe, Nia Long as mother Katherine, Juliano Krue Valdi as child Michael, and Miles Teller as lawyer John Branca.
Michael is produced by King, Branca, and John McClain, co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate.
