Videogame adaptations are the latest craze in Hollywood. Here are the upcoming movies and TV shows coming up.
Videogame adaptations are all the buzz!
TV shows and movies based on video games are making their way into Hollywood. However, historically they hold a bad reputation. Most directors and writers have been unsuccessful in cracking the code between the two forms of entertainment. While video games are interactive, they do not always work on passive modes of entertainment such as TV shows and movies. Some major upcoming adaptations into the movies are The Last of Us, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Gran Turismo, Bioshock, Borderlands, and Death Stranding.
The Last of Us is a video game, considered one of the best of all time. It won many Game of the Year awards and comes with high expectations. Premiering on January 15, the series is starring Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal in lead roles. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is one of the most expected movies of the year. While is based on a role-playing board game, it has previously inspired several RPG games. Directed by ohn Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the movie is released on March 31.
