Kanye West possible suspect in a criminal battery investigation

Woes for Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West. Los Angeles police have named him as a suspect in a battery case. There has been no arrest in connection with the ongoing criminal investigation, according to Variety. There was an emergence of incident at three a.m. at South Santa Fe Avenue and Bay Street in downtown Los Angeles. The incident is under investigation, according to LAPD spokesperson Redina Puentes. This is right outside the members-only Soho Warehouse.

Kanye West was certainly yelling near the scene of the incident. “Did y’all say that or not? Did y’all say that or not?” “Cuz that’s what happened right fucking now.” According to reports, the rapper appeared agitated and visibly angry. The case is under investigation as a misdemeanour battery, which carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison.

Meanwhile, according to FOX 11, the incident transpired outside the Soho Warehouse, and West was taking off when a fan approached his car and asked for an autograph. After bartering words, moreover the rapper is said to have gotten out of his car smacking him to the ground. West then walked away from the scene.

As per People magazine, the rapper was apprehended at Los Angeles International Airport in 2014 for ramming a photographer. West was criticized for punching the photographer and snatching his camera, according to reports. He received 250 hours of community service. Two years of probation, and 24 anger management sessions at the time of his conviction. Similarly, in 2008, West was in prison for defacement and ordnance following a confrontation with photographers at the same airport, during which he allegedly destroyed a camera. However later, he was out on bail by giving USD 20,000.
